Punjab College of Education Fatehgarh Sahib was set up in 2005, which is a pioneer co-educational institution to prepare future teacher. This affiliated college is in the centre of Punjab and the college campus is spread across 0.75 of acres and this college is also affiliated and approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The institute has three programmes related to education with total student intake of 435. At present the college has 13 dedicated faculties which are coming with rich experience in education the class size makes students get more focus and better teaching. Punjab College of Education is dedicated to produce professionally competent and emotionally anchored teachers through various courses offered such as Bachelors in Education B.ED, Masters in Education M.ED, and Diploma in Elementary Education D.EL.ED.

The library is a highly intellectual part of the campus with all the e-journals and numerous books, and dissertations available in the library. In addition for comprehensive development there is availability of sporting equipment, a well equipped gymnasium and a spacious hall that has a seating capacity of more than three hundred people. There are also different hostels for boys and girls, to provide the out-station students a homely atmosphere.
Many of the above colleges offer a total of three full time courses, all of which are related to teacher education in Punjab. The B.Ed course caters to the highest number of students with 200 students, the D.El.Ed has 100 offered seats and M.Ed has 50 offered seats.
