Purna Chandra College of Education, Jhargram was set up in 2014 as a co-educational College to cater the needs of teacher education. Situated in West Bengal – India, this affiliated college is recognised by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) to provide standard education to its learners. The campus occupies 0.87 acres but ensures the enrolment of 292 student so that everybody feels close and personal. The college has a small faculty of 22 members; therefore, the numbers of students to a faculty member are small, promoting individual support. Purna Chandra College of Education provides two Professional Courses in the faculty of education to fulfill the need of young teachers.

Purna Chandra College of Education has two full time courses of which have been designed to cater the need in educationists of the country. The college is running Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) course with an intake capacity of One Hundred students only which prepares a candidate for the teaching profession mainly at secondary and higher secondary level. The course, Diploma in Elementary Education (D.el.ed) takes 50 students for teaching in primary and upper primary schools.
