PVDT College of Education for Women, Churchgate is one among the outstanding constituent colleges that have been set up since 1959 in the very heart of the flourishing city of Mumbai. It has always been affiliated to SNDT Women's University and a women's only college since its very inception, which has, in the last six decades, strived for the development of educational futures. In the planned learning environment and under the stewardship of quality educators is housed on the compact campus of 0.4 acres aspiring students who are involved in teacher education. This institution offers place to 184 students on its rolls and 12 faculty members, thereby providing each with proper individual attention and quality education. PVDT College is NCTE-approved. PVDT College of Education for Women provides two-year full time B.Ed programmes. The institution conducts B.Ed courses in both Marathi and Gujarati medium to balance up with linguistic population of the region. Both courses have an approved intake of 80 seats each, and taken together total up to 160 seats across two courses.  This focused approach allows the college to specialise in education to potential teachers and still manage the students without overflooding the college with a large number of students to ensure that the quality of the education and individual attention is given to each aspiring educator.
