Rajarshi Shahu College of Pharmacy and Research, Pune, Maharashtra was established in 2006. It is a Co-Educational college affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University and imparts Professional programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The institution offers a focused selection of pharmacy programs viz. one undergraduate and two postgraduate courses. Bachelor of Pharmacy, a four-year full-time course, and at the postgraduate level, RSCPR offers a two-year full-time M.Pharma program in Pharmaceutics and another one in Quality Assurance. These programs are especially designed for students who seek advanced knowledge and are research-oriented in the field of pharmaceuticals.

The admission process at RSCPR aims to short-list some of the most promising students for its programs in the Pharmaceutical Sciences. For the B.Pharma course, are based in general on academic performance at the 10+2 level in subjects relevant to the course. A candidate will have to qualify in the Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test (GPAT)—a national-level entrance examination for pharmacy graduates—to enter the M.Pharma programs in Pharmaceutics and Quality Assurance.
