Rajdhani College Bhubaneswar an Affiliated College was established in 1973, situated at Bhubaneswar, Odisha. It is affiliated from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and recognized from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located at Baramunda Campus, near Baramunda Fire Station on a 15 acre land; it provides 28 courses in 11 courses. Rajdhani College has total student intake of 1,521 and the composition of its faculty members includ 39 that enhance the higher education. The college provides different courses specialization in arts, science, commerce and education for the students’ academic needs.

The college provides different amenities to improve the quality of student life. The library, which holds about 30000 books, is an important facility for teaching and learning processes, and other members of the university community, as well as research scholars. For body fitness a gymnasium fitted with modern exercising and jogging equipment is being provided under the supervision of Athletic Association. The college also offers accommodation to boys and girls most especially SC & ST students under the Odisha Government Harijan and Tribal Welfare Department. A computer center provides computer education to students by charging inferior fees and a language lab enhances language skills. It also consists a big hall for seminars, meetings, plays and other functions, a cafeteria and a ground and some facilities for the overall development of students.

Rajdhani college provides an excellent programme dealing in 28 full programmes with concentration in many fields. The institution offers the following Bachelor’s degrees: Arts (BA), Science (B.Sc), Commerce (B.Com), Computer Applications (BCA), Business Administration (BBA), Education (B.Ed). Further, it provides Vocational Bachelor’s (B.Voc) in Vocational specialization in specialisation branches like Horticulture and Catering Restaurant Management etc. At the postgraduate level the college offers Masters degree in Education, Odia, Personal Management and Industrial Relation. The overall approved capacity for all courses stands of 1521 scattered with various capacities of different programs.

The admission at Rajdhani College is also strictly merit based; the marks secured in the qualifying examinations, and/or entrance test as per the norms of Government of Odisha and the University as well. Speaking of the B.ED program, the admission is done according to the marks secured in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination firmly following the guidelines of state government and the university. The college has an active Alumni Association which is not formally recognized but has constant interaction with the college to contributes constructive feedback for its improvement. Unfortunately, the college does not provide detailed scholarship information available for students for consideration, though its link with various government departments depict possible funding chance open for students, more so those from SC and ST categories.
