Rajiv Gandhi Government Engineering College, Kangra (RGGEC Kangra) is a Government college, affiliated to Himachal Pradesh Technical University established in the year of 2014 at Nagrota Bagwan, Kangra, Himachal Pradesh. Being part of Himachal Pradesh Technical University, Hamirpur, RGGEC Kangra has plethora of programs in engineering offered by the college. The institute is capable of intake of total students: 1,157 and total faculty: 18. RGGEC Kangra is recognized by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) & Council of Architecture. Currently the college enrolls 906 male students and 292 female students and therefore the college operates on a co-educational basis.

RGGEC, Kangra started the number of Under Graduate Programs that includes B.Tech. having four disciplines and B.Arch. B.Tech offered are Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering having an intake of 60 students in each stream. The B.Arch program admits forty students of the program each academic year. The entire prime courses in B.Tech are full time offerings which take four academic years to complete and a B.Arch course takes five years of full time learning. The total student enrollment is 1,198 students with 950 in four-year programs and 148 in five-year program. Out of the students, 98.0 % are local students, which makes the college highly local-focused.
RGGEC Kangra gives more preference to the entrance exam that students appear like a factor of admission. For admission to B.Tech programs the candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC applicants) in science stream subjects. For admissions, the candidate must have a valid score in JEE Main or in HPCET Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test. They also have lateral entry for those with diploma qualification also. It is possible that the B.Arch program has its own set of prerequisites for admission though this information was unavailable.

Yes All the basic facilities are available related to infrastructure Developing college is hygenic as well. It was newly built infrastructure but there was no hostel facility for the students it was developed after 2020
Our college provides us with all the facilities like workshops, laboratories, modern classrooms, Wifi facilities, projectors is classrooms etc. Buses are also provided here for industrial tourism for students. Hostels are also provided here for students with wifi facility and good food service. Everything is well maintained here and clean and hygienic.
Infrastructure for studying is quite good but I personally felt there that library is little small as per the strength of students due to which we some times faced issues there regarding sitting . Our college had different clubs like technical club , cultural club etc students becomes the member according to their choices and intrest.
