Rajiv Gandhi Government Post Graduate Ayurvedic College, Kangra is one of the famous and oldest College was established in 1972 in Himachal Pradesh solely dedicated to imparting the knowledge of Ayurveda. It is affiliated college which situated in Paprola, Himachal Pradesh and this is spread into 40.87 acres of land. Recognised by the Central Council for Indian Medicine (CCIM), the college offers 14 courses under three degree programmes to train 427 students. As of now, it has a faculty of 40 teachers dedicated to providing excellence in education in different streams of Ayurveda.
The college has state of the art facilities that can support the delivery of learning and other activities aimed at improving the lives of the students in the college. Being an important part of academic libraries, the library has a collection of over 10000 books and 20 medical journals for students and faculty to use. To support the students teaching and learning activities, the college has departmental laboratories with modern facilities. An IT structure comprises a computer centre/Internet connection, as well as 10 peripherals for students and/or teachers.

BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery): The process of admission into BAMS course in Rajiv Gandhi Government Post Graduate Ayurvedic College is restricted to an intake of 50 students. The admission is made on the basis of merit, which is derived from the performance in the NEET examination. The basic eligibility for admission is 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as the compulsory subjects.
