The Rajiv Gandhi vocational education and training college (RGVTETC) has been set up in 1995 and is a private unaided college affiliated to svn, Gwalior, situated in Madhya Pradesh. Part of Jiwaji University and approved and recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), RGVTETC confers 4 degrees through 4 courses. The college is spread over a 3.022 acre of campus area and it has Strength of 223 total intakes for students and 16 faculty members. RGVTETC is engaged in educational and management field offering full time courses B.ed, M.ed, D.ed, MBA etc. This institute envisages imparting quality education for both boys and girls together with emphasis on all round development of students.

They include; Library, Laboratory, Computer Laboratory, Audio-Visual Room, Home Economics and Commercial Studio, Sports and Games Room, Dining Hall and Common Room. College library is well stocked and computerized to support the information needs of the college through provision of reference materials, course kits, journals and other bibliography resources in form of hard and soft copy. Besides, source of practical experience, the institute has method lab psychology and science lab and Method lab Education Technology lab. The Computer lab has modern terminal, and internet connectivity to enable the students to learn about new technologies. Mini stadium and play fields can be used by enthusiastic sports lovers and help the people to go fit and health along with boosting team spirits among the players. This college also has a health care center to detect students’ health conditions and treat them in case of illness.

The above institute has a total of 4 courses on offer and of these courses, all are fully fledged full-time programs. These are two undergraduate levels, B.ed and D.ed and two post graduate levels MBA and M.ed. Total intake of student in all the courses as offered in the institution is 235 and for B.Ed program it’s 100 places for intake. At RGVTETC the key emphasis is placed on elaboration of viewpoints and preparation of students for successful professional work in the spheres of teaching and management.

This is true because the admission processes at RGVTETC differ despite varying courses that are offered at this institution. For the MBA program, the candidates have to undertake the ATMA – AIMS Test for Management Admissions; the next stage is group discussion and interview by the Director of Technical Education, Government of Madhya Pradesh. B.Ed, M.Ed admission are also offered on the basis of entrance exam conducted by the state government while D.ED admitted are provided on merit of 10+2 examinations or an entrance as per the policy of state government. The college has emphasized carrying out certain standards regarding the eligibility of students for the respective courses. For instance, applicants seeking MBA admit must have scored at least a raw score of 45% in their Bachelor’s or Master’s qualification, M. Ed applicants must have scored 55 % in their B. Ed qualification. The Organization Linkage and Development of RGVTETC helps students get placements, conducting campus interviews and offering consultancy and project related works to improve student’s practical knowledge and real life exposure.
