Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia Medical College, Bhilwara—RJ is one of the few newly established medical colleges in Rajasthan founded in 2018 that is situated in Bhilwara. This co-educational college is an affiliated institution for NMC and is recognised under the National Medical Commission. The college today has a total student intake capacity of 150 and a faculty of 74 The college offers 3 courses in total under 2 degrees in the field of medicine. The degree offered by the institute includes MBBS and post graduate in Pathology & Microbiology. It is still an emerging institution in the field of medical education, processing an upward trend in status recognition that has geared towards delivering quality health care education to its prospects.

As mentioned earlier, the college has the following amenities to host students’ academic and practical needs. The library functions as the one-stop centre for the students and houses a large collection of medical journals and literature. For the purpose of making theories and academic learning more practical, the college has set up departmental laboratories that contain sophisticated instruments and tools. These are very essential centers in a learners process of acquiring working experience in numerous specialties within this field. Further, adequate information technology has been provided by the college so that students are able to access materials, develop skills in use of information technology equipment and update themselves with the progress in the medical science and technology.

The largest programme is MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery), where the college has 150 seats. Doctor of Medicine, commonly referred to as MD, is offered at the postgraduate level in the college in two specializations, namely pathology and microbiology, each of which has four seats. Every course teaches sound theoretical information and necessary hands-on skills needed for a satisfying career in the medical field. The college’s aggregate student enrolment is one hundred and fifty-eight across all programmes; this we hold will allow the college to maintain a near-perfect student-to-faculty ratio in a bid to offer quality education to all students.

Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia Medical College, like any other institution, has a well-formulated admission process that is grounded on merit; hence, being a professional college, its admission process is also professionally determined. Concerning the MBBS program, students must take the National Eligibility and Entrance Test (NEET-UG) for admission. NEET-UG is mandatory for all aspiring candidates and the candidates have to attend the counseling process next to it. For the postgraduate programs, the students get into the MD Pathology or MD Microbiology through NEET-PG scores. 

The college is keen to follow the set time of admissions as laid down by the national medical education bodies. Unfortunately, details of scholarships that are available to the candidate are not available; however, such an institution is bound to adhere to the government stipulations for setting aside a percentage for the reserved category and the subsidies offered.
