Ram Lakhan Mahavidyalaya, Mau, Uttar Pradesh provides student centered quality education to arts and education streams. The college targets educating at the heart of Jamdih village. This institution provides its students with two-staged undergraduate as well as diploma courses co-educational. The National Council for Teacher Education has given it approval. It states that the institution is dedicated to carrying out the training of teachers. The college offers BA programmes with a strong intake capacity of 420 seats, with broad-based education in the humanities, and for those aspiring to join teaching, the college offers a B.El.Ed programme with 100 seats and D.El.Ed also with 100 seats. It offers education-centred programmes, which indicate the seriousness towards professionally trained teachers in the region.

The admission process at Ram Lakhan Mahavidyalaya is unique to all of its selected courses. For the Bachelor of Arts programme, admissions are purely merit-based followed by an interview. For the B.El.Ed programme, admissions have a clear procedure along with an entrance test conducted either by Purvanchal University Jaunpur or through the college. Alternatively, admissions may be merit-based, where consideration is given as per the candidate's 10+2 marks, as suggested by the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Purvanchal University Jaunpur. Admission to the D.El.Ed course, at the college follows the policy of the State Government/UT administration.
