Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav College, Ranchi (RLSY Ranchi) is one of the oldest and most reputed educational institutions founded in 1972. Kokar, Ranchi based this constituent college has been providing its service to the academic society for the last fifty years. RLSY Ranchi is situated in beautiful and extensive green campus; it covers 2.49 acres of Campus and it is accredited by National Assessment and accreditation council NAAC. The college enroled over 4,921 students indicating a male female ratio of 54:46 respectively. The college currently has 57 dedicated faculty members teaching 36 courses across its 10 degree programmes to meet students’ diverse learning needs.

Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav College is endowed with all the necessary features that makes learning exciting to the overall trainees. The library which is an essential part of any academic institution has more than three thousand books, daily newspapers and a choice of periodicals and magazines. It enables comfortable learning with a seating capacity of 25 students and should be noted that the school is in the process of both, automation and air conditioning. RLSY Ranchi for practical temptation holds 7 well stocked laboratories in which experienced professors facilitate the student to practice on real concepts. The college also fully equipped in technology with standard computer laboratory and wireless internet connection on college compound to enable student uphold to the current technological development.

The programmes are set to cover all the needful undergraduate and postgraduate courses for its learners. Currently, the college offers 30 courses at the Undergraduate level and 6 at Postgraduate level with enriched course contents capable of being delivered fully within the package offering 3 years for UG and 2 years for PG programmes ;- MA Nagpuri , BA Urdu and BA English. The total student intake capacity as have seen remains higher at 4,921 and this can be regarded as achieving the objective of delivering accessible education. Unfortunately, the exact graduation figure for the year in question is unknown, but the college is, nevertheless, plugging away at the region’s educational output.
