Ram Swaroop College has been functioning as one among the colleges affiliated, offering undergraduate courses across streams. The college has a specific and pre-arranged admission process for admission to its various academic programs, for the selection of deserving candidature. College Counselling Committee offers admission based on merit according to state government policy, U.T. Administration guidelines, and affiliated university rules for entry into all courses without conducting an entrance test.
The eligibility criteria for each course vary, but normally a person must have passed 10+2 from a recognized board or institution. Different courses may apply different combinations or minimum percentages required in the relevant subjects. The college considers the academic performance of the candidates in the qualifying examination as one important factor for admission.
Application Process
Following is the procedure to be followed for Ram Swaroop Yadav Mahavidyalaya, Jhansi to adopt legally a candidate selection process in a fair and comprehensive manner:
1. Notification of Admissions: The college announces the commencement of the admission process through its own website and mass media. There should be regular checks on the website for announcements.

6. Counseling and Allotment of Seats: Candidates who are shortlisted may be called for counseling sessions where the allocation of seats is performed on the basis of merit and availability.
7. Confirmation of Admission and Payment of Fees : The selected candidates will have to pay the course fee and complete other formalities within the prescribed time to be confirmed admission.
8. Document Verification: Prior to finalizing the admission process, a thorough verification of all submitted documents is done.
Degree wise Admission Process
BA: The college is offering a Bachelor of Arts (BA) program. The admission into the BA program shall be based on the merit of the candidate in the qualifying examination (10+2). Students should have completed their higher secondary education in relevant subjects qualifying them for the BA specialization. The conditions of eligibility and the courses available under the BA program should be checked on the website of the college.
B.Sc: The college runs Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) course as well. B.Sc. admissions are merit-based by considering the marks obtained in the 10+2 examination focusing on science subjects. Students who have studied physics, chemistry, mathematics, or biology in their higher secondary education may generally apply. The specialized combination for subjects may be varied according to the selected B.Sc. specialization.
B.Ed: The college Ram Swaroop Yadav Mahavidyalaya adopts a procedure for admission to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program. According to what has been stipulated in the admission policy of the college, "Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and/or in the entrance examination or any other process as per the policy of the state government/U.T. Administration and the university selection." Thus, it appears that B.Ed admission may be based partially on the marks from the qualifying degree and also partially on performance in a related entrance exam, if one exists.
