Khaira Institute of Education is one of the prospective establishments in Uttar Pradesh, an affiliation to which was achieved in the year 2006 on Jhansi - Gwalior Road, of which an area is approximately 2.56 acres. The college is affiliated and has been recognised and certified by the National Council for Teacher Education. The institute offers three diversified degree programmes with a student enrolment of 221. With 23 dedicated faculties, the institute maintains a relatively excellent student-teacher ratio and ensures personal attention and guidance.

Khaira Institute of Education boasts of offering a range of facilities that will enhance the learning experience of its students. There is an extensive library of Books, journals, encyclopedias, and magazines. It is as per the NCTE standards for the B.Ed. programme, and regularly subscribed important journals and reputed magazines are brought to the students. In the science laboratory, it is well-equipped and regularly upgraded as needed according to the latest NCTE standards so that the learning experience through practical exercise of the students becomes rich and interactive. 

In total, Rama Nath Vimla Devi Khaira Institute of Education conducts three full-time courses in various disciplines.  These include a BA programme, a B.Ed programme, and D.El.Ed programme.

For B.Ed, the admission is merit-based, and application forms must have marks obtained in the qualifying examination and entrance test. Institute also follows further selection procedure as are envisaged under the policy of the State Government/U.T.Administration and the affiliating University. Similarly, for D.El.Ed course, the admissions at this institute are merit-based and have marks obtained in the qualifying examination/entrance test/examination and is in accordance with policies governing the same by the state governments and the universities.
