Ramanand Teacher’s Training College located at Kota, Rajasthan was founded in year 2006 with an aim of producing quality teachers of future generation. This is a co-educational college found in Kota Junction in Mahavir Colony taking a rather small area of 1.89 acres. Being an affiliated college it has got recognition from National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), social science teacher education programme. The institute has 23 experienced teachers for 194 students in two specialised courses in total. Ramanand Teacher's Training College offers two full-time courses: The minimum qualification criteria for BE and D.El.Ed, is a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) respectively. Two-year B.Ed programme is done with the B.Ed intake of one hundred students and the two-year D.El.Ed programme has the intake capacity of fifty students. These programmes are meant to prepare students who wish to teach with knowledge and skills required for practice in the teaching profession. These two programmes are however the college’s Major areas of emphasis so that training of teachers especially to meet the complexities involved in teaching modern learners is well focused on.
Admission in Ramanand Teacher’s Training College is formally done after qualifying the Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) which is conducted by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati University (MDSU Ajmer). This ensures that the candidates are neuennsive enough and acquitted on the aptitude and readiness for the teacher training programmes.
