Ramchandra Chandravansi Institute of Technology, Bishrampur: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

RCIT was set up in 2008 and is a constituent college, situated in Bishrampur, Jharkhand. Sprawling over a large area of thirteen point Five six acres of land in Bangalore city, RCIT is recognised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). There exists five B.Tech programmes of which the institute intended to offer a total of five hundred and thirteen students’ intakes and a faculty of forty-seven. RCIT has a vast interest in technical education and is proof by the numerous engineering disciplines offered which include Mechanical engineering discipline, Electronics and Communication discipline, Electrical discipline, Civil discipline, and the Computer Science Engineering discipline.

RCIT has got several beautiful facilities which enhance their learning condition in this generation. Every department of the institute has well laid out laboratories which also give practical experience which is very important in the engineering college. A modemised library facility as the stock of knowledge resource centre housing over fifty thousand text books and one hundred and fifty national and international journal subscriptions. The e-library facility coupled with services from DELNET provides the students with access to a rich database. For the needy students RCIT has been offering hostel facilities for boys and girls separately with having facility of internet in hostel also so that students may have to study throughout night also if needed.

The institute teaches five full time B.Tech programmes all of which take four academic years to complete. These courses offered are relevant for many fields of engineering making the institute offer a generic technical education. Their total approved intake limit for all the courses offered is 225 students and for each of the programmes offered, they take only 45 students. This distribution that is balanced will put extra effort to provide personalised attention to all these specialisations together with efficiently using resources.

RCIT has put in place admission criteria that are intended for offering deserving candidates admission into the institute’s engineering programmes. There are several general methods through which prospective students can get admissions. For admission to the B. Tech. programme, only those candidates who are successful in JCECEB or AIEEE entrance test can apply. Besides, RCIT administers its Common Entrance Test for those students, who want to entre the sphere of engineering. This entrenches the pedagogy for talent developers and equips students of all abilities with chance to achieve their dreams of studying engineering at RCIT. Another proof of the dedication to developing technical skills among the students can be seen in the up-to- date infrastructure and syllabuses being practiced at the institute that will in a way help the students to counter the hardships that the increasing tendency of technology brings about.
