Ramchandra Chandravansi Polytechnic Institute, Bishrampur (RCPI) is a constituent college to the university sited in Jharkhand, India. It is aided by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which perhaps gives an assurance of availability of standard qualitative education in institute. RCPI presents three diploma courses in engineering science passions, for students who want a more vocational education. This institute has a strength of 22 faculty members and the management’s main goal and objective is to impart quality technical education to budding engineers. Even though the size of this campus and the total enrolment of RCPI is unknown, RCPI’s concentration on diploma courses points to a more technical form of learning.

Ramchandra Chandravansi Polytechnic Institute comprises of a number of facilities to support the learning addition to the students of an institute. Larger classroom sizes and effective learning tools for teaching avail a good environment for teaching. IT infrastructure facilities comprising state of art laboratories and workshops are being upgraded from time to time to equip students with the best available technology in the market. The institute has hired a team that has provided modem internet connections and workstations fully equipped with multi-media that help the students in updating their knowledge in the current technology. Every library stocks tall shelves with thousands of books, journals ,Periodicals both academic, general interest and fiction books. In order to accommodate the students and make them feel home away from home emotionally, RCPI provides different hostels for boys and girls.

RCPI currently has a total of three diploma programme courses in engineering all of which take three years to complete when pursued on a full-time basis ;- Diploma in Civil Engineering , Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering . It aims at offering technical education in strict engineering disciplines as a centre of excellent. There are maximum intake credits of 180 for these courses and a quota of 60 students in the each programme. To date, there is no information regarding the number of graduates produced but this institute offer courses in technical education.

Ramchandra Chandravansi Polytechnic Institute follows the entrance test conducted by the university in terms of admission procedure. Nevertheless, wherever entrance test is not conducted or there is scarcity to candidates, admissions are done on merit of qualifying examination. For the NRI and foreign students the admissions are based on merit of marks in the qualifying examinations. This makes it easier for deserving candidates to be given a shot at studying their technical education at RCPI.
