Ramnagar College, Purba Medinipur, founded in 1972, is an affiliated college in Ramnagar, West Bengal which has been catering to young minds for more than five decades. It sprawls over a campus area of 1.82 acres, with as many as 22 different courses in 7-degree programs and a student body of 3,628, helped by a faculty of 31 dedicated teachers. 

Ramnagar College is proud to offer the latest comprehensive facilities aimed at enriching the student experience. A well-stocked library with nearly 19,000 books and journals functions as a knowledge hub, backed by internet-enabled resources and e-journals. In the college, there are separate hostels for boys and girls with an intake capacity of 60 boarders each, and preference will be given to students from the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and differently-abled categories. Games and sports like football, cricket, volleyball, and others can also be played in facilities available in the college playground. Laboratories are also well-maintained and equipped with aids for practical teaching in concerned departments.

Ramnagar College offers a vast range of subjects to the students in its undergraduate section. Under this section, there are 22 full-time courses in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams. BA in Honours courses are available in Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Philosophy, History, Political Science, Geography, and Sociology. Available subjects at the undergraduate level include courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Botany, and the unique Aquaculture Management and Technology in the Science stream. It has a general and honours B.Com course on its curriculum. Besides, it has also adopted vocational education with courses in Fishery and Farm Management, and Hospitality and Tourism Management, pointing to the institution's commitment to industry-relevant education.
