Rampur College, Madanpur was established in the year of 1980, which is affiliated college located in Rampur ,Odisha,India. Located on an area of 10 acres, this institution is a place where learners with an intention to continue their education at a higher level can get it in this region. Currently, the college has 525 learners while it employs 21 members of the faculty. The programming of Rampur College is centred on giving quality education through its only offered course of Bachelor of Arts or BA. It is an affiliated college, thus, accountable to the main university to which it is affiliated and has to follow all the rules of academic education.

Rampur College has to offer with aim of fostering students ‘academic as well as individual growth. The facility acts as learning resource centre whereby students are given an opportunity to borrow books and study materials. Alike most progressive facilities of modern education, Rampur College boasts of being well-equipped with proper Information Technology facilities to facilitate the use of ICT tools and resources among the students. It also has serviceable laboratories for practical lessons in some of the related disciplines. To meet the physical needs of the students there are available sports amenities and gym to ensure that students balance their academic activities with sports and physique. Further, the campus is equipped with an auditorium to facilitate seminars and other events that user to bring about a diversified academic and cultural life. In order to meet the needs of visiting professors and student’s families, the college has established the guestroom and the waiting room.

Rampur College, Madanpur at present has only one full time course, which is the B.A (Bachelor of Arts) course. The humanities and social sciences are offered in this three-year undergraduate degree programme. The BA programme being under graduate programme has an approved intake of 160 and this shows the capacity of the college to take in large number of aspiring students each academic year. Although the college offers only this one degree programme, the detailed plan shows its determination of providing quality education in arts stream.
