Ramya Sathianathan College of Education, Thanjavur, has been set up in 2012 and is one of the main colleges to impart teacher education in the Tamil Nadu state of India. Situated at Sengipatti Budhalur Road, Pudupatty this co educational college is an affiliated college recognised by the National Council for Teacher Education NCTE affixed to the institution. It is credited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) seal which indicates the college’s thrust to quality education. Ramya Sathianathan College of Education mainly is a teachers training college which has only one full course of study – Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme. This two-year programme has an approved quota of 100 students, which is in line with the focus of the college which is to produce future educators. The B.Ed course is intended to make the student professional ready, competent academically and provides practical teaching experience to be employed in teaching profession.
