Ranibala College of Teacher Education is an institute for dedicated teacher education situated in the plains of Purba Medinipur, West Bengal. This co-educational college was founded in 2016 and has become a real rising star in the sphere of teacher training. The college is in fact only over an area of 0.9 acres and provides only two kinds of professional courses with overall student capacity for two hundred. Starting from an impressive faculty of 11 highly qualified competent educators, the college guarantees ideal student to teacher ratio thereby providing the needy individuals with careful professional guidance.

Ranibala College of Teacher Education has many well developed and well equipped infrastructures and learning resources that can support the learning activities of the college students. At the center of such comforts is a modern library that has a reference section, journal section, and a reading room that can comfortably support thirty students at a go. This is backed by a resource-rich environment especially when it is reinforced by instructional and departmental laboratories. Extracurricular activities for the college as well as academic occasions are provided with an auditorium. Another advantage of sports facilities is that students should reduce their involvement in social activities, but they may also utilize the sports to improve their fitness. A cafeteria for offering meal to the human capital and student as well as health centre with a first aid section avails the wellbeing of the college.

Ranibala College of Teacher Education offers two full-time courses, both spanning two years: The two programmes are the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) and the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed). Each programme when approved has the capacity to collect 50 students totaling to an annual capacity of 100 students. These types of the course are aimed to prepare students for effective professional practice in the teaching field with the provision of information and practical experience in theory and practice in education.

Ranibala College of Teacher Education has no formal admission criteria, however, the proportion of students’ intake is based on merit score achieved in qualifying examinations and/or entrance tests where it may apply. The college follows the norms of admission provided by the government of West Bengal and the university to which the college is affiliated. Aspiring learners should be informed that the documented admission procedure may not be fixed and could be complemented by other admission criteria based on present educational regulations.
