Rao Lal Singh College of Education, Gurugram, was basically founded in the year 1974. It is one of the premier institutions of teacher education. The co-educational college is situated on the Delhi-Jaipur NH-8 in Sidhrawali Village. It occupies an area measuring about 3.6 acres. This is an affiliated college, and it has been accredited by NAAC and approved by NCTE. The college offers three full-time degree courses, namely B.Ed, M.Ed, and D.El.Ed, to a total of 264 students. This is quite a reasonable student to teacher ratio; it stands at 264 to 18, hence allowing for close attention to and quality teaching in the field of teacher training.

These institutions boast a wide range of facilities for the convenience of the learning process of their students. It serves as the central hub of all academic resources, having a library of more than 25,000 books that cover all areas of education. There are also several well-equipped laboratories of the institution in which the facilities also take a great part in the curriculum of teaching education. There are laboratories, such as the Curriculum Laboratory acting as the center of the instructional materials, and the Language Laboratory, where language skills can be developed. The Bio Science and Physical Science Laboratories provide practical exposure to experiments and demonstrations that form an integral part of the skills a teacher should possess. Equally important, the institute has a well-established, fully computerized Computer Lab with internet connectivity and projection facilities so that students get familiar with the challenges and skills needed for modern education.

Rao Lal Singh College of Education runs a total of three courses, all full-time. These courses offered at the college range from Bachelor of Education and Master of Education to Diploma in Elementary Education. Thus, the sanctioned intake capacity of the college is 200 students: 100 for the B.Ed. program, 50 for the M.Ed. program, and 50 for the D.El.Ed. program. This wide array of programs caters to aspiring educators at different levels of academic journeys in elementary education up to postgraduate studies in education.                                                                         

Rao Lal Singh College of Education provides admission on the basis of merit as well as marks secured in the qualifying examination or entrance test conducted. All institutions run B.Ed and M.Ed programs according to the policies framed by the state government, UT administration, and the affiliated university.
