Rayagada Institute of Technology and Management, Rayagada: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

RITAM or Rayagada Institute of Technology and Management is a new educational institution doing its business since 2010. This affiliated college based on the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), is providing various engineering courses on its extensive campus of 25 acres. RITAM is at the moment catering for a population of 694 students and in an attempt in meeting the goals and achieving success, the institution boasts of 64 functional members of the faculty. The institute offers 5 programmes of 2 levels of degrees in the following engineering disciplines B.Tech in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering.

Among the facilities that help to improve the quality of learning process and students development, RITAM has a great list of them. Some of the facilities include well equipped laboratories for each department such as Mechanical Workshops, Civil Workshops, Electrical Laboratories, Electronics Laboratories. Facilities include a computer lab properly equipped with power backup to facilitate un-interrupted connectivity, IBM server etc. The college library is well equipped with more than 10000 books, journals, reference and other reading materials and also equipped with an electronic library facility. For all round growth and development, RITAM has built up playing fields, a gymnasium, a large hall that can easily accommodate up to five hundred people usually useful in holding seminars workshops and cultural shows.

The institute provides 5 courses in total, among them they have 2 full time B.Tech and Diploma courses. The B.Tech programmes are spread over four years and the Diploma programmes are of three years. RITAM has an overall intake of three hundred and sixty student in all courses which posses great plans for students wishing to study engineering. The courses that are offered are usually expansionary across the various specialisations of engineering hence provide for diverse learning in a students’ training.

The admission process of RITAM is formalised and depends only on academic performance by the students. For B.Tech admissions, qualification through the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination OJEE conducted by the state government or Joint Entrance Examination JEE Main by CBSE New Delhi is mandatory. Candidates seeking admission in diploma programmes must pass the DTET entrance examination organised by the State Government. RITAM recognises these exams as valid means of admission and this guarantees its student-intake a fair competition.
