About Rayat and Bahra Institute of Engineering and Biotechnology, Mohali
Rayat and Bahra Institute of Engineering and Biotechnology, Mohali, also known as RBIEBT, was set up in the year 2005. Situated in Kharar, Punjab the institute is recognised by the IK Gujral Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. Like other B.Tech colleges, RBIEBT has numerous programmes in Engineering, Architecture and in Management. The institute has a faculty base of 111 professors and offers 8 programmes and spans 3 different degree levels.
The institute holds a lot of pride on providing all the following facilities to augment the student stand. There is a library in RBIEBT and is well stocked to offer the students all the information they may require for research and anything more that they may need in their research throughout the day and night. For any one in need of hostels, the institute has set apart sections for male and female students respectively. Such hostels have provision of things like activity place, group rooms, library like reading place and dining hall among others for proper accommodation of the students away from home. There is infraction and the school boasts of an advanced 50MBPS internet connection for proceeding with web-based data.
RBIEBT runs 8 courses or programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels combined. The institute offers 4 years B.Tech full time programmes and 2 years M.Tech programs in 3 specialsations. In addition, there is a 2 years full time MBA programme for the students who want to be management professionals. The intake per class for the B.Tech programme is 120 in each branch so the total approved intake for B.Tech programmes is 480 comprising Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The M.Tech programmes have a total intakes of 18 each and the MBA programme have intakes of 60.
