RC Institute of Technology was set up in the year 2000 as a premier educational institute set up at Gopal Nagar, Najafgarh, New Delhi. This affiliated college has been successful in persuading the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) that it is an institution which believes in quality education. Located in a campus area of 2.5 acres RCIT is accredited and offers wide variety of programmes to its 285 students facilitated by the 26 member faculty. The institute currently offers four different degree programmes that have been created and structured to give one particular set of results for its attendees.

RC Institute of Technology provides students with various facilities that can be observed to support students learning process in the current technological world. The institute has the facility of an adequate library In the library, students can spend their time on intense studying. For those with a special interest in technology the college has a well equipped IT section that comprises of a cyber section, and an E-learning center with multimedia equipped facilities connected on broadband. There are several sport-related amenities any sporting enthusiast will find useful in the school grounds. Security is also valued with an on-site health center whose task is to ensure that first aid is provided to anyone who needs it. The campus also contains a large, airy cafeteria, serving good, inexpensive food which makes it an ideal place to stop for a rest and a chat between lectures.

RCIT is a top-notch academic programme that includes four full-time courses that offer comprehensive preparation in all subject areas.  They are Bachelor of Education (B.Ed,), Master of Computer Applications (MCA-B), Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA-B) and Bachelor of Commerce (Honours-B). 

Admissions at RCIT are fair and competitive especially when it comes to the B.Ed programme admission. The admission to this course is made on the basis of the marks scored in the qualifying examination and an entrance test. The institute may also use other forms of staffing for such a policy in line with the state government/Union Territory administration, and the affiliated university.
