RECT Polytechnic College, Tirunelveli: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

RECT Polytechnic College was established in 2010 as an affiliated college at Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu is approved by the AICTE. Set in South Vijayanarayanam Nanguneri Taluk this technical institute occupies a total area of 6.44 acres of land. RECT Polytechnic College enrolls 825 students and has a faculty of 66 members; The college offers diploma courses in most branches of engineering . This is evident through six full time diploma courses offered by the college that trains students in matters technical especially in engineering.

RECT Polytechnic College has many amenities that are intended to facilitate learning to the students in the college. The library consist of about 3200 sq feet with a large stock of technical and general books, journals and digitized data and can accommodate about 100 students at a time. To support practical learning, the college boasts fully equipped laboratories and workshops competitive with anything in other established polytechnic institutions around the country. There is also the English language lab in which a comprehensive communication skill involves the use of technological equipment like audiovisual. There are lots of funs here for different sports as it has grounds for volley ball, badminton, cricket, soccer etc. It also has other student services which include; hostels- boys and girls, cafeteria- serves a variety of menus, and health centre for treatments.

The six diploma courses that are offered at RECT Polytechnic College are all full time courses. The list of the offered courses includes holding across various forms of engineering; therefore, students are provided with many options. The college offers Civil Engineering, Automobile Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Electronics and Communication Engineering. The college has been approved to enroll 420 students to its various programmes offered in the college. Although, graduation data for the current year is missing, the total enrollment of the college tally with its intake capacity, therefore suggesting that all the available seats are taken.
