Regional College of Physical Education, which is located at Panisagar, North Tripura, India was established in 1977 to produce trained personnel particularly in the fields of physical education. This affiliated college which is NCTE approved offers professional training in physical education. Located on a large piece of land of 47.94 acres, the college offers appropriate learning milieu for future physical education specialists. The institute has a day student strength of one hundred and through direct and affiliate students and the faculty staff strength of nine make for effective student-faculty ratio, and quality teaching and learning. From this perspective it is a co-educational college which fosters the integration of male and female students to the course of physical education. Today it only has one programme, the Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) which prepares students with the desire of participating in sports and exercises.
