The Rehmat-e-Aalam Institute of Education, Anchidora, Anantnag Jammu and Kashmir is an affiliated college which came into existence in 1995. This is a mixed able school that is located at a 3 acres compound and has a recognised course of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). This institute offers an excellent teaching- learning environment since it offers admission to 182 students and has a faculty staff of 6 members.

Rehmat-e-Aalam Institute of Education has provided numerous amenities for campus and class related activities. It provides hostel facility separately for boys and girls, which is Haider Reshi Boys Hostel and Fatima Girls Hostel. These are hostels that are habited by students and are designed to be comfortable and safe places to live, and the rules in these places are enforced rigorously. The college also has a Health Care Centre staffed by a qualified part-time doctor providing free basic medical care and medicines to students and college staff. As for academic purpose, college library has set of books, journals, and computer multimedia to fulfil the need of the college students. There are both the indoor and outdoor games, the likes of volley ball, badminton, a cricket pitch, chess, table tennis etc among others.

Rehmat-e-Aalam Institute of Education provides mainly teacher training and development programme and having one full time B.Ed programme. This is two-year course, which aims to equip the students with knowledge, skills and knowledge necessary for practicing in the field of education and teaching.

There is also the merit based system of admission with the consideration of the marks of the qualifying examination as well as the entrance examination, for the Rehmat-e-Aalam Institute of Education. The institute can only adhere to the admission policies which might have been provided by the state government/union territory administration or the affiliated university.
