RK Sanatombi Devi College of Education was founded in 2003 as a leading college in Imphal, Manipur. This is a co-educational college affiliated with the National Council for Teacher Education offering only teacher education programmes. The college occupies a area of 1.148 acres; total number of enrolment includes 468 students and 42 faculty members.

RK Sanatombi Devi College of Education provides students with the following amenities that are available to support learning: The library has a collection of 8839 books of which 815 are reference books and has the seating capacity of 70 students in its reading section. For sports as well as recreation, the college has adequate amenities for physical fitness such as an indoor sports hall with provisions for table tennis, badminton, carrom and chess. The B.Ed programme has an approved intake capacity of 200 students while the M.Ed programme have a seating capacity of 50 students.

RK Sanatombi Devi College of Education has the following criteria of admission: the results of the previous examination, passing the examination organised at this college. In respect of B.ED admission, the entrance test includes General English 40 marks, General Knowledge 35 marks and Teaching Aptitude 25 marks. The M.Ed entrance test format is the same as the above with slight differences in the marking scheme.
