RN Shetty Rural Polytechnic, Bhatkal: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

RN Shetty Rural Polytechnic, located in Bhatkal, Karnataka, was set up in 1987 in Murudeshwar, Uttara Kannada. This affiliated college recognised by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) provides many diploma courses in engineering fields. Spread over 10 acres of area, the institute has an over-all student enrolment of 550 and is staffed with 42 faculty members. RN Shetty Rural Polytechnic works consistently on a technical education platform for its students and offers eight diploma courses for different engineering fields.

RN Shetty Rural Polytechnic  boasts of sufficient facilities that facilitates the learning process of its students simplifying the learning process. The campus provides a separate hostel for boys and girls, which includes fully furnished facilities and the latest amenities. A library resource centre with stock of above 13000 books on all disciplines taught on the diploma programmes together with an e-library. A college canteen is central to social interaction among the college students and members of staff,  THe college laboratories are well equipped with all modern technology support practicals in all fields of learning. A sports field an indoor sports hall and a health centre with first aid facilities complements the dully diversified student’s life.

Eight full time diploma courses by RN Shetty Rural Polytechnic and all these courses take three years to complete. These programmes encompass all the engineers such as Automobile, Ceramic, Civil, Computer Science, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, and Mechatronics engineers. It has a total approval of admitting 555 students for all courses which is clear indication of the ability of the institute to train a good number of intending engineers every year.
