Rohini College of Engineering and Technology or RCET was started in the year 2012, under affiliation with the Anna University, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Located on a 12.8 acres campus, RCET now offers eighteen courses under six degree programmes offered in Engineering, Management and Computer Applications. This institute is affiliated with NAAC and is also approved by AICTE. RCET has 2,532 students and a faculty strength of 153 teachers; the institution has a gender-arched student mix of 90% undergraduate and 10% postgraduate. The college boasts a gender ratio of 2:1 (male to female) and admits 8% of its student strength from other states of India, which also has increased its popularity in the region.

For the admission of undergraduate engineering courses, students have to appear in Common Engineering Entrance Test and Admission (CEETA-PG) examinations. Some of the post graduate courses like MBA and MCA require Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). This college also providies scholarship to the eligible students.
