RS Degree College at Maniyamau, being an affiliated college in Etawah, Utter Pradesh was established in 2010. Located at National Highway 2 near Ekdil, the area of this institution is approximately 2.5 acres providing a good exposure to the students. The college is accredited to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) offering teacher education programmes. The college offers admission to 620 students and 9 faculty members, hence, offering a niche specialization in education. 

The college has various amenities meant to improving the experience of the students. A knowledge is power type of library is available for every learner accompanied by departmental laboratories. The RS Degree College, Maniyamau has two complete full time courses in the specialization of education. In the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program there are 100 students intake capacity and the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) has a capacity of 50 students. These two courses are aimed at producing future trainers, and feature a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and practical teaching skills. That is why the college’s focus on teacher education greatly enhance the training and preparation of teachers in the area.

There are various procedure of admission in RS Degree College, Maniyamau but currently it is open for merit basis on the marks of the qualifying examination. For the B.Ed program, an entrance examination or any other selection procedure for admission as per the policy of the State Government/U.T. Administration and of the University. Likewise, admission to the D.El.Ed course is also done according to the merit obtained in the qualifying examination and or entrance examination as prescribed by the State Government or UT Administration. However, the general dates should be checked either on the college website or the admission office, as the dates do change with each year. It was difficult to obtain information on scholarships and such things as well as some famous students, but the fact that the college focuses on preparing teachers makes it a rather large choice for those who intend to devote their lives to the field of education.
