RS More College, Dhanbad, came into existence in 1959 and is one of the premier constituent colleges at Govindpur, Jharkhand. Nestled in a sprawling 100 acre landscape, approved by NAAC and functioning since 1952, this institution for higher learning has created more leaders, thinkers and visionaries. RS More College occupies vast space of 17 acres and in Classroom had 4,842 students for its under graduate programmes. The college has a faculty of total 16 faculty members all of which dedicated educators and care takers. This institution comprises 20 courses offered in and across 7 degree programmes, arts, commerce and science streams are offered.

There are 1,877 student enrolled in undergraduate programme, of which 54% are males and 46% female students. The college has produced enough competent college graduates to help fill the employment market gap of professional skill in many sectors.

Admission of students into this college is fully based on merit from the preparation of the students themselves and there is no quesiton of quota system, monopoly or selective admission as in the case of RS More College. The entrance tests are not mentioned though the college could require students to produce their performance scores in the 10+2 level.
