Rustamji Institute of Technology (Diploma), Tekanpur, Gwalior, was set up in 1988, is one of the nation’s premier technical institutes. Being an affiliated college, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has also accreditation with this college and offers diploma courses in different streams of engineering. Located within the bounds of the BSF Academy the institute is able to offer students a concentrated and specialised learning environment of an engineer-to-be. With a faculty team of 17 dedicated member Rustamji Institute of Technology (Diploma) provides quality technical education to form the future of engineering in India.

Rustamji Institute of Technology has several facilities to offer in as much as improving the learning experience of the students is concerned. The college library is central to knowledge delivery and students can access most technical literature within the college. In order to facilitate practical learning the institute has departmental laboratories where aspects learnt in class can be practised. To keep up with the growing role of technology in education, the Rustamji Institute of Technology (Diploma) has equipped itself with good IT facilities and the students themselves are familiar with the relevant tools and techniques in current use.

Rustamji Institute of Technology (Diploma) currently has three diploma programmes for which the duration of the programme is three years’ duration - Civil Engineering , Mechanical Engineering and Automobile Engineering . These ones are offered for different departments of engineering so as to equip the students with relevant skills and knowledge. The institute has a total intake capacity of 180 students on all its courses and each course offering has the capacity to produce 60 students. This controlled intake assures each learner enroled with quality attention and education.

The steps followed when joining Rustamji Institute of Technology (Diploma) are relatively clear, and the institution gives an equal opportunity to deserving candidates. Although details of the admission process are not detailed it can be expected that as with many diploma programmes the candidate’s performance in the 10th standard examinations or their equivalent may be taken into consideration. Based on the aforementioned findings, the author of this report reached the following conclusions; Prospective students commended to closely follow the communication channels of the institute in order to get more details on admission dates and processes. Its location within the facilities of the BSF Academy has its advantages from the point of view of a student: it can provide experiences in disciplined and structured education. Rustamji Institute of Technology (Diploma) is one of the institutions that that got approval from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), which means that the institute has a standard education offer for the engineering students to enable them build a sound career on engineering.
