RVS College of Arts and Science is an autonomous college situated at Coimbatore and was established in 1986. With NAAC accreditation and AICTE approval, the college provides 58 subjects of 11 degree programmes. Located at a campus area of 14.24 acres, RVS College has a total strength of 4806 students including both boys and girls and faculty of 190. It shows that the institute has been sensitive to the gender diversity and this is evident with 69:31 male female ratio among the undergraduate students and 55:45 among the postgraduate students.

RVS College of Arts and Science has a variety of contemporary amenities that enrich the student learning. These include air condition and non air condition hostels for boys and girls with adequate spacious rooms and bunkers. Medical care of students is provided here with a health centre that includes first aid essentials. The campus also has a multi gymnasium with all accessories to make sure that students and the staff are fit. This is communicated through the library as the knowledge centre of the company where books, magazines and the latest journos are displayed. Many sports lovers can engage themselves in football, volley ball, basket ball, tennis, badminton, cricket and kabaddi as there are respective grounds available.

Established in the year 2000, RVS College of Arts and Science is a well rounded college with 58 courses under different stream. The institute offers undergraduate and postgraduate full time programmes, and doctoral research programmes ;- M.Sc Mathematics , B.Sc and MCA etc. In the academic year 2022, the college totaled 4,051 students, of whom 3,386 (84%) were enroled in undergraduate programmes, and 665 (16%) in postgraduate programmes. Another advantage of the college is its regional orientation: 91 percent of students are from the state.

At RVS College of Arts and Science, the process of admission is as seamless as possible is followed and Primarily based on merit. It is not clear when specific examinations are taken but the college offers admissions in different under graduate and post graduate courses. Scholarship concerns are reinforced by the institute and the chances are available for deserving students. From the college’s list of students awarded financial reimbursements in 2022 when students were studying in the 2021 academic year, 1, 252 undergraduate and 429 post graduate students took advantage of this scholarship to pursue their collegiate learning goals.
