RVS School of Architecture Kannampalayam was started in the year 2009 comes under the Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu affiliation. It is duly approved from the Council of Architecture and provides a course in Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.). RVS School of Architecture sprawls over a 2.5 acre land and is a small institute with 163 students enrolled and 14 faculty members. The institute also requires students to take national level tests including NATA an aptitude test in architecture and JEE Advanced. It’s a co-educational institution that aims to allow male and female students searching for architectural education with the same rights and equal chances.

RVS School of Architecture has diverse infrastructures for students’ success in academic and other activities. The educational library of the college is well stocked with adequate number of domestic and international books, newspapers, journals which can be useful for student. The IT facilities can also be of interest: There are two computer classrooms with ninety places together. These labs are fitted with the current architectures’ software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and Google SketchUp so that the students work with the professional developed tools in the market. It also provides facilities for various departments’ laboratories, an auditorium for conducting events, seminars and sports facilities to complement the development environment.

RVS School of Architecture at present only has one regular course, namely the Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) Course. This particular programme is a five-year degree programme and the approved intake for each academic year is thirty seats. B.Arch is planned to impart theoretical base of architecture, methods of designing and skills which are useful in the architectural practices. However there exists no specific information on the production of graduates in the institute, although the institute is has a focus of delivering quality architecture education through its equipped curriculum and infrastructure.

The admission procedures of RVS School of Architecture involve main consideration of marks in the national level entrance examination. The admission criterion is done by the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) for the first-year B..arch students and the Joint Entrance Exam of Advanced for the second year students.
