Sabarigiri College of Education, Kollam, was established in 2005 it is one of the well-known colleges in Kerala, which offers teacher education in India. This co-educational college is situated at Anchal, Kollam and is an affiliated college having approval from the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). Located on a 3-acre land, the college provides the right atmosphere for those students interested in the teaching profession. Sabarigiri College of Education is a factorised college with a total admission capacity of 100 students and faculty strength of 10 teachers for efficient and quality education to all students.

The college possess a number of ultramodern facilities to aid its academic activities. The college library which is house full of knowledge enlighten the students to go through books and prepare library notes which build independent learning. Offices for physical science, Natural Science, and Mathematics have their laboratories to ensure practical lessons are performed. There is also an auditorium for all general assembly, functions and seminars, sports grounds and facilities for developmental activities for sports and games, and separate hostels for boys and girls.

At the present, Sabarigiri College of Education is serving only one course, the B.Ed program. This is a full-time curriculum recognised for intake of fifty students, and the college ensures that the student-faculty ratio is manageable. It enables a teacher for practice at the secondary level to acquire education knowledge and teaching strategies that are relevant to today’s society.
