Sadguru Education Societys College of Physical Education, Jalgaon: Admission, Courses, Fees, Placements

Sadguru Education Society's College of Physical Education was established in 1990 and is located in Jalgaon, Maharashtra. This co-educational institute is an NAAC accredited affiliated college approved by NCTE. The college campus occupies 3.8 acres in area and offers three full-time courses in physical education and teacher training. A total of 83 students are catered to by the institute while it has a faculty strength of 4, thus providing a studious learning atmosphere. 

The college possesses a variety of facilities which aid its academic and extracurricular activities. A library has a collection of more than 5,000 books, including subscriptions to over 10 national and international journals and periodicals, besides a reading room holding capacity of 100 students. The institute has highly advanced laboratories which provide with modern instruments such as vacuum pumps, UV spectrophotometers, and Laminar Airflow equipment. 

The college has a swimming pool and a gymnasium for physical exercises. An auditorium for events and seminars, health centre with first aid facilities, computer laboratories having Internet access are also present in the campus. Separate hostel facilities are there for boys and girls that provide them with comfortable accommodation outside of their home towns. 

Sadguru Education Society's College of Physical Education: The institute runs a total of three regular courses, that is, full-time courses. The college has an approved combined intake of 230 seats in all its courses. Each of the B.Ed and B.P.Ed programs occupies 100 seats. The seats available for M.P.Ed programs are 30. All these courses are instructionally geared towards providing the student members to pursue a career in physical education and teaching with the balanced dual input of theoretical knowledge and practical skill. 

There is a variation in the admission process at Sadguru Education Society's College of Physical Education with the program. For B.Ed the admission is centralized following the guidelines from North Maharashtra University B.P.Ed admission strictly on merit. Admission to the course is made through entrance test, which includes a written test, sports proficiency test and physical fitness test, and marks obtained in qualifying examination. Policies of the university or state government also can influence the selection process.

A candidate should have at least 50% marks in the B P Ed degree or B P Ed (Integrated) 4-year professional degree to get admitted into M P Ed programs. The college adheres to its program's academic calendar as prescribed by its affiliating university.
