Sagardighi Teachers Training College was established in the year 2009. This is a constituent college in Murshidabad, West Bengal. This institution is a co-educational one. The prime function of this institution is Teacher Education. It has two full-time courses: B.Ed and D.El.Ed. The institution has been permitted by NCTE, and the campus area is 1 acres compact. Spread over a total student enrolment of 241 and a faculty strength of 23, Sagardighi Teachers Training College has the ideal environment for the students to learn. The institution provides both elementary as well as secondary education to aspiring educators with special training.

Sagardighi Teachers Training College offers two major courses related to teacher education. Since these classes focus on the students who would later become professional teachers, the pedagogical skills and educational theory are developed accordingly. The maximum intake of students in the college is 241 so that manageable class size can be maintained for training as teachers.

Admission to Sagardighi Teachers Training College is done on the basis of merit, marks in the qualifying examination and/or Entrance Examination, following the rules of the State Government of West Bengal and affiliating University. Admission to the B.Ed Course: Candidates are admitted to the course of training based on the merit list prepared according to their performance in the qualifying examination or through a selection procedure as may be prescribed at the time of admission.
