Sagarpara Education College was established in the year 2016. Co-educational in nature, this college is located in Sagarpara, Jalangi, Murshidabad, West Bengal. This college, affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, primarily deals in teacher education courses. On this small campus, which is spread over an area of 1 acre, one can find Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) and Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) offered in a full-time mode. Having an enrolment of 98 students and comprising 15 faculty members, Sagarpara Education College offers a highly attentive environment to young educators.

There are many varied facilities that the college makes available to support students in life and academics. This includes a well-stocked library, which acts as a hub for knowledge for both students and faculty. The campus community has a health center with first-aid facilities to take care of the well-being of its members. These are supplemented with a sports facility and a gym for physical fitness and recreation. Sagarpara Education College offers two major courses in the department of education. Both courses are meant to turn out students into taking up a career in teaching and educational administration. These two specialized courses are concentrated within the college and hence assure a focused approach in teacher training with only 150 seats in total for the two courses.

Sagarpara Education College considers the merit-based admission policy, where the marks obtained in qualifying examinations and/or entrance exams are taken into consideration. Admission to B.Ed is also carried out in conformation with state government, UT administration, or affiliated university policies. The procedures for admission into the D.El.Ed program are similar.
