Sai Saraswathi D.Ed College, Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh, is affiliated to the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and is recognized by the Teacher Education System. The college runs a Diploma in Education (D.Ed.) program for the making of efficient primary school teachers. The admission process at Sai Saraswathi D.Ed College is simple and more approachable, with an intention to select dedicated men and women willing to enter the field of teaching. The college observes the admission policy declared by the Government of Andhra Pradesh concerning the D.Ed programs. 

Normally, admissions to the D.Ed program of Sai Saraswathi D.Ed College are strictly based on merit. The selection process assesses the marks obtained in the qualifying examination or performance in an entrance examination, depending on the current state government or UT administration policy, which makes sure that all selected candidates are highly qualified and motivated for the program.

Application Process

1. Notification: The commencement of the admission process should be communicated by the college on its official website and in the local newspapers.

2. Application Form: Candidates will need to obtain and fill up the application form either online through the college's website or may collect the application in person from the college office. 

3. Document Submission: Candidates will be required to submit necessary documents with a duly filled application form which usually include: 

• Mark sheets for SSC and HSC examinations 
• Transfer Certificate
• Conduct Certificate
• Caste Certificate (if applicable)
• Passport-sized recent photographs

4. Entrance Exam: If required by the state policy, candidates may need to appear for an entrance examination. The comprehensible syllabus and pattern would be communicated through the college/concerned authority. 

5. Merit List: On the basis of marks of the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination, a merit list will be drawn up and published. 

6. Counseling and Admission: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for counseling, during which they will be required to produce original documents for verification, after which the admission fee will have to be paid by candidates for confirmation of admission.

7. Orientation: The students who are admitted shall now go to the orientation program in order to get acquainted with the college facilities, faculty, and curriculum.

Degree wise Admission Process

D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education): The D.El.Ed program is a two-year program at Sai Saraswathi D.Ed College for training students to become teachers for primary schools and the college has an approved intake of 100 seats making it a major program at the college.

Admission into the D.El.Ed program is by merit based on performance in the qualifying examination and/or entrance examination. The regulations in regard to entrance examination/qualifying examination may differ according to the policy of the Andhra Pradesh state government at the given time. Currently, candidates for admission may require completion of their 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
