Saintgits Design School, Kottayam Facilities

The SDS, Kottayam provides various facilities to its students and faculty members. The Saintgits Design School only has an intake of 30 students to focus on one-to-one mentoring. The main facilities include classrooms which operate as studios providing everyone with enough space to work, a maker space area made for using design machinery, a stationery centre for getting all the raw materials, etc. For the student's way of living, there are separate hostels for boys and girls attached with mess and cafe facilities.

Moreover, apart from the facilities present the Saintgit Design School also promises more infrastructural amenities such as design laboratories, 3-D printers, laser-cutting machines, a sound recording studio, an AR/VR lab, and an auditorium specially designed for screenings. These are some of the major SDS, Kottayam facilities offered.

Boys Hostel
There are separate hostels for boys to provide a comfortable stay. The girl's hostels are within the campus, while the boy's hostels are at a walkable distance. These hostels have their messes attached to them. A few shops and cafes around the campus also cater to students’ needs.

Library
The Resource centre includes a small library with a few hundred of books on Design, Arts and Crafts, a few magazines related to design, current affairs and newspapers. More titles are being added to the list as required.
The resource centre also has a few computers for student use along with black and white and colour printing and scanning facilities for students' use.
Laboratories
Students attend lectures in the studios and fabricate them in the Maker space which has facilities to handle Clay, Plaster of Paris, Thermocol, Wood, Plastics, and more materials. More machinery is being added to the Maker space as and when courses need them.
Smart Classrooms
The classrooms are called studios and students can rearrange and customize their workspace to their liking. Since classes are mostly held with audio and video aids, studios are equipped with multimedia facilities.
Convenience Store
The campus has a well-stocked stationery store from where students can purchase their daily needs of paper, art, and craft materials.
Cafeteria
The college has its own Café which provides tea, juices, ice creams, and snacks during interval times. The Café is being spruced up to provide more variety for students. The campus has a few other canteens to fulfill students' hunger pangs.
Sports
The college has sports facilities for all students.
I.T Infrastructure
The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
