NIFT Kannur Admission Process

NIFT Kannur admissions are offered to 7 UG and PG courses in the field of Design, Fashion Technology and Fashion Management. NIFT Kannur admissions are offered to B.Des and M.Des programmes in various specialisations. Candidates seeking NIFT Kannur admissions have to take an entrance exam consisting of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and a General Ability Test (GAT).

If the candidate gets shortlisted on the basis of the written test, then they have to appear for a situation test and a personal interview conducted by NIFT Kannur.

How to apply for NIFT Kannur admissions?

Candidates have to apply online at www.nift.ac.in.
The application fee has to be paid through an online payment gateway. The non-refundable fees for general candidates is ₹3000, while that for the SC/ST/PWD category candidates is ₹1500.
Once the online registration is complete, an admit card will be provided to the applicant.
Next, the applicant will need to take the NIFT Entrance Examination for all UG & PG programmes.
Course specialisation is given according to the score of the NIFT entrance examination.

NIFT Kannur admissions offer B.Des programmes in various specialisations of Textile Design, Knitwear Design, Fashion Design and Fashion Communication and BFT in Apparel Production. All NIFT Kannur UG admissions are offered for a 4-year duration.

NIFT Kannur B.Des Admissions Process

Candidates need to be eligible for NIFT Kannur admissions.
Eligible candidates can apply for the course they are interested in.
Selected candidates will be called for NIFT Kannur admission entrance test Creative Ability Test and General Ability Test.
Candidates can select their preferred centre for giving the entrance test.
After the examination is complete, candidates will be able to see the question paper and the answer key by using their registered user id and password on the admission portal.
After the Entrance Examination, the result of the examination will be declared. It's important to note that this will also be available online.
Finally, once the final result is declared, counselling will be conducted, and seat allocation will take place.

For State Domicile seats the status of domicile will be decided by the address of school/college (qualifying degree) last attended, whichever is applicable.
