Sakuntala Sudarshan Institute of Technology and Polytechnic (SSITP) was set up in the year of 2016 and is an ISO 9001:2008 certified technical institution situated at Mayurbhanj, Odisha. Affiliated to Oxford University with approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), this has gradually emerged as the center for the aspiring engineering students in the region. Having a faculty of 36Tender-skilled professionals, SSITP provides many types of diploma courses to fulfil new challenges of the market. It is evident from its course list that the institute is determined to deliver quality education to its students Civil, electrical, mechanical engineering courses among others.

Though specific details regarding some of the facilities in campus are not stated, from the aspirations of the dean of Sakuntala Sudarshan Institute of Technology and Polytechnic, learning environment is enhanced. The peaceful atmosphere in educational process is provided by the location of the institute in Kalakad, Mayurbhanj. Even though information regarding hostel facilities is not given, numerous and wide ranging opportunities for student development are offered by the institute. 

Currently, SSITP has five full-time diploma courses which all take three years of study to complete. These programmes are offered to students at their various specialised engineering discipline as per their choice. Since as an institute it admits students into different courses with an aggregate of 300 students at any one time, each course admits 60 students. It also helps in controlling the quality of students admitted and guarantee every learner receives adequate focus and quality learning as registered.

The method of admission at Sakuntala Sudarshan Institute of Technology Polytechnic is very simple with as many openings as possible made known to the public. As for specific entrance exam there are no references, however, it is possible that institute uses performance in some subjects relevant to the course during the admission process. The college is sited in Mayurbhanj, Odisha, India, and it has cultural and research capital with attracting industries; it gives diverse opportunities the students for their total developments. The programmes offered by the institute which are affiliated with industries somehow show the institute’s focus towards closing the gap between academic studies and industries especially in Mechanical Engineering.
