Saldiha College, Bankura, affiliated in 1966, is an institutional college located in Saldiha, West Bengal. The campus occupies 14.9 acres and has numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses. State and National Accreditation: Saldiha College offers a wide variety of courses in various disciplines of arts, science, and commerce under 11 degrees and 25 courses. Presently, there's a total capacity of 1,699 students enrolment and faculty strength of 29.

The infrastructure in Saldiha College is developed to leverage the student's quality experience. Students coming from distant locations find the college campus convenient because of the separate hostels for boys and girls. The library is laid across an area of 300 square meters with more than 30,000 books. It is also connected by the NLIST program to provide access to e-resources. There is also a well-equipped gymnasium for sports enthusiasts with outdoor arrangements like football, cricket, volleyball—well developed. The college also keeps the IT infrastructure updated. The college has computers and internet facilities in its office and library and in each department.

The institute has 25 different courses, including undergraduate and postgraduate programs. In the graduate section, students can pursue different full-time honours courses and other general degree courses also in BA, B.Sc, and B.Com streams. For postgraduate courses, the college provides MA courses in Bengali, English, History, and Political Science. The total intake of students also varies from course to course, where in the line of popular courses like BA Bengali Honours and BA English Honours, there are 110 and 95 seats, respectively. 

Saldiha College admits students mainly based on merit. Students willing to take admission must apply for admission at the phase when the college announces the dates for admission. The college probably considers the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations, 10+2 or equivalent, for admission to the undergraduate programs. The criteria for admission to postgraduate classes would be the marks obtained by a candidate in the relevant bachelor's degree.
