Salem Kongu Polytechnic College was started in the year 2008 which is an affiliated college located in Salem of Tamil Nadu state. This AICTE recognised polytechnic college and it is provides different diploma course in the field of engineering. At the present the college is on a 6.17 acre land and has the general enrolment of 89 total students with 39 faculty members. Salem Kongu Polytechnic College offers five regular diploma courses which include Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Electronics and Communication, Mechanical, Mechanical Engineering Tool and Die.

The Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Tool and Die has smaller number of students enrolled with 30 seats.
