Samrat Ashok Technological Institute Polytechnic College is a well-organised college located in Vidisha, Madhya Pradesh, which was established in the year 1956. Thus, this affiliated college providing quality technical education to the students aiming to be engineers is situated in a vast area of 85 acres of land. AICTE recognised the institute and it provides various diploma courses in different branches of engineering. The college has well-educated 35 members of permanent faculty and with adequate experienced members who are sensitive to the student’s needs.

To this end, the institute boasts of endowed facilities to ensure it meets the educational needs of the students as well as offer necessary amenities for their co-curricular activities. The Northwestern CAMS has well-facilitated laboratories: the modern metrology laboratory for accurate measurements and the automobile service station for students. The Central Library of the Institute is a storehouse of knowledge and learning, containing a vast number of textbooks, references, and scientific journals. It also provides Book Bank service for the students belonging to the reserved categories only. ATI Polytechnic College of Samrat Ashok Technological Institute offers a total of 8 diplomas, and other diploma courses are all full-time. The institute offers some of its courses in different fields of engineering specialties like Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Telecom Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Civil and Chemical Engineering, Automobile Engineering, & Integrated Circuit Manufacturing. All the courses take 3 years and aim at producing competent and professional personnel in the respective fields. The institute has intakes for all it’s courses as 60 students for all the courses and Integrated Circuit Manufacturing accepts only 30 students per intake.

The admission program at Samrat Ashok Technological Institute Polytechnic College is controlled by the Director of Technical Education, Madhya Pradesh. Applicants interested in joining any of the polytechnic courses are supposed to write the Pre-Polytechnic Test (PPT) conducted by the Vyavasayik Pariksha Mandal (Professional Examinations Board), which is an autonomous institution affiliated with the MP State Government. As mentioned earlier, admissions are offered through counseling as per their rank in this entrance test to justify the selection procedure of all the professional courses in the state.

Apart from academic activities, the institute has excellent and active co-curricular activities through inter- and intra-institutional sports facilities, both outdoor and indoor. The College Sports Council assists a full-time sports officer and supporting staff in organising a range of sports events. The campus also has branches of the Central Bank of India and the State Bank of India. There is also a post office on the campus to meet the needs of the students and the staff. A dispensary with some minimal medical amenities as well as the presence of a consultant doctor caters for the health needs of the members of the campus.
