The polytechnic named Sanjay Gandhi Government Polytechnic, Adilabad was started in the year 1980 situated at Kailasnagar, Adilabad, Telangana. Being an affiliated college of this government-owned polytechnic is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) to deliver quality education in different engineering branches. Located on an area of 1.141 acres, the institute admits 532 students in total with 11 enrolled teachers and other employees. Currently the polytechnic offer four diploma programmes each branch of engineering those programmes offer different branches of engineering to fulfill the interest and career needs of the technicians.

The maximum intake sanctioned for each course is 60 hence the cumulative total umber of programme seats offered is 240.
