Sant Gajanan Maharaj Rural Pharmacy College Mahagaon, started in 2006, is affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru University, Gadhinglaj, Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. This is a pharmacy Institution with focus on pharmacy education, it is recognized by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is a two-acre institution that is currently accommodating one hundred and twenty four students, and eight teaching members of staff. It lays down four courses, D.Pharma and aims at delivering quality pharma education in the rural backdrop.

Among them, it has the best-equipped library resource centre, which is essential for any campus and for the learning process. In a bid to enhance practical content, the institution has set up the departmental laboratory to enhance the practical experience of the students in the field of pharmacy. The college has a two-year full-time course of diploma in pharmacy known as D.Pharma. The programme has an approved carrying capacity of 60 students per year and this comes to show that the college has a smaller student population per faculty to allow effective learning. Despite the fact that the college currently has only one specialist course, the college students cover so many areas in pharmacy, making sure they are equipped to handle different careers in the field.
