all the best!!

Dear Aspirant,

If the rank of AIMS at 9/10 then Santosh will mark in around 6/10. That should give you an idea but that does not necessarily make it a lessor choice, since Santosh is a private hospital catering to a different segment of society. It is a 600 bed hospital. Generally in private hospitals the number of surgeries is definitely a lot less than government hospitals which cater to the masses and hence your first hand engagement will be lower.

Having said that Santhosh deals with , General Surgery, Neurosurgery, E.N.T. Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics and Cardio-vascular Surgery as related to General Surgery.  So to gain experience nothing like working in a Government Hospital for a few years to hone your skills.

Good Luck

Santosh Medical College is a Private Medical College. You haven't mentioned your Category. And there are 3 Categories in Private Medical Colleges. Category A is the Government Quota Seats. And only candidates of the home State are eligible to apply for these seats Here if you belong to General Category, you will need atleast 550 and for Reserved Categories, you will need 500. B Category seats are also called Management Quota Seats and they are filled through State Counselling and the remaining seats are filled through Direct Admissions by contacting the College directly. If you belong to General Category, you will need atleast 500 and for Reserved Categories, you need atleast 400.  Here the fees is usually nothing less than 40 lakhs. The last Category is NRI seats Category and you cannot apply for that. Now cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Hello,

Santosh Medical College offers the MBBS and MD courses in various subjects.

In case of MD Paediatrics and Ortho both are highly appreciated in this college. Course fee for the Paediatrics is 50, 00, 000/- and Ortho is 62, 00.000/-.

The college is provided all the facilities regarding study,  library,  hostels,  auditorium etc.

Firstly college do not give you the promise for placement but if you are efficient then you obviously have that opportunity.

Hope it will help you.

Thank you.

Hello!

Since the official cut-offs are not out yet, according to the previous years cut-off given your rank, it is possible for you to get a clinical seat in a Government College or a Private/Deemed College.

Hope this gives you an estimate of what college type and branch you'd get.
