Saradha Gangadharan College was started in the year 2001 and is an emerging college situated in the Puducherry. This affiliated college established over a total area of 9.63 acres and has been serving higher education successfully for more than a couple of decades. Recognised by the NAAC, the college provides 13 courses under eight degree programmes with total intake of 1410 students. The college has a faculty of 63 committed teachers and a comfortable student-teacher ratio of 1:25 to deliver quality education.

Saradha Gangadharan College owns various facilities which play a significant role in improving of learning environment of the students. These include a 2000 square meter general library which contains 10700 volumes of books and subscribes to 7 local and foreign journals. The college usually opens its admission in the summer for the academic year starting in the month of July. The institution is particularly proud that around 12% of its student populations are from outside Puducherry. This diversity is somewhat higher in post graduate courses as 21% students come from other states compared to 11% in undergraduate courses. The college also shows that it embraces gender diversity with a 56% female minority participation at postgraduate level but, undergraduate programmes record 70% male participation.
